Daisy Chain is currently staffed by three qualified and experienced early childhood educators; one lead teacher and two assistants.
Each weeks activities are based around a chosen theme and incorporate the learning through play concept. The day begins with free play where the children choose themsevles from a variety of toys & activities, such as play dough, a farm, reading library, puzzles, big blocks, play kitchen, dress-up costumes, and a play house, water & sand which have been set up at different "play stations". Registration is then taken and incorporates the use of puppets. Along with taking attendance, the teachers help the children get aquainted with the days of the week, the month, and seasons. Every session also includes the children making a craft based on that weeks theme, which they get to take home. Sports play is also included during the sessions with the use of a play gym, slides, bicycles, football, basketball, cars, a parachute & outdoor play when weather permits. Music also plays an important role at Daisy Chain. Children learn songs & nursery rhymes. Along with the actions and dancing to the songs, the children are encouraged to pick up an instrument and to play along with the rhythm. Story time is also a big feature of every session Each session also includes a snack time where the children sit together have their packed lunches.
